Hello, I'm new to the forum and a relatively new owner of an '03 A4 Avant. The problem I'm having is intermittently the driver side door lock will not lock/unlock using the remote key fob, and/or the alarm will not activate. When I've had this occur, if I simply leave it alone for 15 minutes, it most often will work fine. Random.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

New battery in the remote?

 

I am having the same problem with my 02 A4 1.8t. When I get out of the car and hit the lock button on my remote all the doors lock except the drivers door and the alarm does not arm. If I wait about 10 seconds after I close the door to lock it all the doors lock and the alarm arms ok. I get the same result with both keys. If I lock the doors by putting the key in the door it works ok also. Thanks in advance for any help.
