Default Requesting Ignition Coil Connector DIY

HI,

I need to change my Ignition Coil Connectors and I cannot find a DIY on google.
Was wondering if any of you might give me some tips.

Thanks.

Tools needed:

1: Needle Nose Pliers
2: Small Jewelers type flat head screw driver or similar

If you take the COP connector and look inside, you will see a purple retainer clip.

Insert the screwdriver in the little tab

Now pull the rubber case off the back to expose the wires, insert screwdriver and lift around the COP connector by the protective cover and flip the rubber around the back.

NOTE THE COLOR OF THE WIRES AND WHICH PORT THEY GO IN ON THE COP CONNECTOR... THE COP CONNECTOR IS NUMBERED TO CORRESPOND WHICH WIRE GOES WHERE.

Insert screwdriver into the COP connector in each little spot above and below the terminal and twist the screwdriver a little to bend the snap retainer in on the terminal. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE TERMINAL!

Keep screwdriver in one of the little ports. Now use the pliers and CAREFULLY Pull the wire out. (THE WIRE MAY BE PRONE TO CRACKING DUE TO AGING AND HEAT EXPOSURE, SO BE CAREFUL!!!)

TO INSTALL NEW CONNECTOR.

DO THE SAME PROCEDURE ABOVE IF THE NEW CONNECTOR HAS WIRES IN IT.

THEN.

Just push each wire into the correct spot of the new connector.

Put purple retainer clip back in

Push rubber cover back over the connector plug

and you're done.

Ok, so I have tried to change them but with no success because the DIY that you gave me is for Connectors without wires.
The one I bought already has wires (Ignition Coil Connector with Harness ). (Pelican Parts - Product Information: 21-9037-005-M18)

Can you please advise on how do I connect the new connector to the wires that come from the car.

Thanks

you can do the same to the new connector. it is much easier and cleaner than cutting the oem harness and making sure its the same length.
