Rock n Roll - Higher speed rocking issue
Hi guys,
This is my first post here so I hope I make sense for you all!
I have a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T and she's starting to worry me.
When I jump on the motorway / highway and accelerate a strange backward-forward rocking motion occurs, essentially like the car is losing power for a split second and then regaining it, repeatedly and consistently. It's a very rhythmic thing when it happens. I also noticed that the rev needle stops for a split second too when this happens, I think - hard to truly observe it when trying to focus on driving too.
This only happens when I put my foot down, it's barely noticeable when in 1st, 2nd or 3rd and its also barely noticeable when increasing speed steadily. I can only really feel it when putting that pedal to the floor.
So I'm hoping somebody would have an idea of what's going on here. Should I burn it, sell it, fix it, run?
Any help would be greatly appreciated and if there's any more info that might help just let me know and i'll get it down asap.
Thanks all,
- Tim
