Default rough idle

Okay so i took my car in to get it looked at since ive been running a rough idle for a month now. I have a 2003 1.8t a4. They fixed the coolant flange and they also fixed the tension cam gasket or whatever it was called. Now the mechanic working on the car told me that it stills runs rough idle and that i would have to take it to audi to reprogram the engine? is that true or did he just not fix anything?

Default RE: rough idle

i think your mechanic didnt look at your inline check valves. they are 25 bucks from ecs.... its a vac leak most likely so check all your inline check valves. do a search and you will find out more about them...

by the way. if you coolant flange wasnt fixed.. youd be leaking coolant
if you cam tensioner gasket wasnt fixed, youd be leaking oil (in most cases)
so you make the call if he did anything

hope that helps
