Default Serious Ignition Issues

2003 Quattro 1.8T. About a month or so ago, I noticed it was missing-mostly at idle. I drove 400 miles on highway and it was fine the entire time. Pulled into the parking lot at my destination and immediately started missing. I jumped out and checked the coil packs by pulling the connectors one-by-one. The misfire was on the second cyl. The CEL was obviously flashing as well indicating a miss. I hooked up the ODB II and it confirmed the miss on the 2 cyl. The plugs had maybe 1500 miles on them, so I assumed it was the coil pack. I replaced the coil pack on the 2 cyl. This did not fix the miss. I replaced the spark plug with a new one-that did not fix the miss. The plug was wet with fuel, so I rulled out the injector. I replaced all 4 coil packs-that did not fix the miss. I then determined since it was not the plug, coil pack, or injector, it must be the connector/wire. I ordered a repair kit and replaced the connector. I also checked all fuses and they were fine. Now the car will not even start. I'm at a loss for what it could be now and just dropped 2k to fix sludging. I'm trying to sell it as I've bought a truck, but I'd like to get it in running condition in order to do so. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

most likely a vacuum leak.

Knock sensors sit right next to cylinders 2 and 4 so they usually the cylinders the record misfires during vacuum leaks.

I'd be looking for a broken check valve on the breather coming off the back of the valve cover.
