Default Service Records?

I just purchased my car back in august with 81,000 on it. I now have about 88,600 on her. I didn't receive any records that show repairs done to the car or anything like that. Is there anyway that an audi dealership would have record of these repairs? I really would like to see if the timing belt/water pump were changed. I don't want to start taking her apart if its been taken care of already.Thanks...

I was on the same boat as you, usually the dealer will have a record if it was done there, I checked on mine by looking at the belt, since I bought the car with 81k and some change, the belt should have been done at 75-85k, so it should have been fairly new; I opened the front cover and saw a old belt so I did it. Another thing you can do is try and ask the previous owner, if you got the car form a used dealer this won't work. I'd say take it to an indy mechanic and have it look at it if the Audi dealership can't help you.

Call Audi Customer Care @ 1-800-822-2834 (AUDI), Monday through Friday, 8 am to 9 pm, Eastern Time. Have your VIN and they should be able to tell you where any warranty work was done and that will give you a place to start. For some stupid reason Audi doesn't maintain a central database for all service work performed. They were very helpful to me and plus you will get the car registered to you.
