this may be stupid but why doesnt my car have the shark fin antenna?

2003 a4 quattro with bose symphony II

I forget whether it's for satellite navigation or satellite radio, but you get the idea. Mine doesn't have it either, which honestly I'm thankful for; I think the car is better looking without it.

It's for satellite radio. Vehicles 2004 and up came with the shark fin.
