Default Shift **** Removal

I know this seems like a ridiculously noob question but I went to take my stock know off and my assumptions were that it was threaded. I was spinning and spinning and it didn't seem to be any looser? They are threaded right?

They aren't threaded, I'm assuming you pulled up the shift boot and pulled the one-time-use clip off. Just yank upwards. If you are trying to get the **** off the boot, I can't help you, never done it. I just took the whole thing off when I went Short Throw and used the same **** when I put it back.

Manual shift ***** are just screwed on there (threaded)

Automatics have a special way to remove them, if you have an automatic and need instruction, just ask.

if its a tip then pull your ebrake then shift your car in to drive ( with the car off) then you gently pull the shift button out just far enough to slip a zip tie behind it to hold it out. then pull up pretty damn hard but be careful that you dont punch your self in the face. good luck.

It's a 6 speed manual and I spun the thing around almost twice and it just pulled the boot with it and didn't seem to be coming any looser.
