Anyone got last minute tips on replacing temp coolant sensor? 04 1.8 a4

Easy job but so hard to get to. I spent an hour this evening trying to get my hands even to the area.

Should I remove the PCV and detach some hoses to get to this stupid thing.

I reviewed several other DIY on the site but any other recommendations would help.

 

Just get a small mirror and long needle nose. Find the small half moon clip that hold the sensor in place. pull out with the needle nose. its a tight spot but i was able to get it out without removing any hoses.
