I drive A4 2004 auto and accidentally put my foot down too much in D (drive position) engine rev goes high can feel front wheel spin then I took my foot off the accelerator when the engine speed comes down the gear didn't transmit any power to the wheels. All gear positions not work. My question is
Is there any safety device disconnect the engine and gear when the engine speed too high.
