i have a cvt tranny, and when i use tiptronic it feels better than leaving it in auto, so is it bad to drive alot like that? does it burn anything out faster?

it would be cool if i could drive like that all the time without doin harm to my car

Being that its a CVT, drive it like an old man.

 

take it easy, your tranny is made for fuel efficency and smoothness
just dont shitf at red line all the time

the b6 automatics are weak trannys

 

I had cvts in b7 loaners all the time while my car was still under warranty. One time while at a light I revved it as high as it would go with my foot on the brake and then launched it. It didn't seem to like that very much!
