Default Trunk Problems with A4 B6

Ok so the automatic trunk release is no longer working. The key/clicker still works cause it unlocks and locks and does the auto windows and so on, but also the button for the trunk release inside the driver door does not work either...AND the trunk release on the trunk on the outside doesn't work as well. I checked the fuses in the interior on the driver side and they are all fine....

Possibly wiring issues maybe?

Is there another fuse box i don't know about?

How can I fix this problem without having to go to the Audi dealer and pay $200 just to get it in the garage?

I would check the trunk latch. Take the cover/carpet off of the trunk lid. The latch and license plate socket will all be exposed. Check that the everything is still making a good contact. When dynamating my trunk, I must of bumped something because I wasn't able to open it with my keyfob either. This fixed the problem though. Hope it helps

Default Trunk release problem 2002 A4 3.0

Over a year ago I had electrical problems in the front dash and driver door. Instrument lights would not go off, draining the battery. New cableing was installed and it fixed the problem, BUT ever since I have had a different problem.
When I double click my key to open the passenger doors, the trunk opens.
This only happens in cold weather. ie summer is no problem, but as winter comes around the problem starts to re-occur. This had never happened before.

Scan you do an auto scan and see if your central convenience module will say something, you could check it, it's under the steering wheel, when Ecu box gasket starts to leak its leaking right onto the ccm...
