Default upgrade

Hello, i am new to Audi. I just got a 2002 a4. the owner installed a borla exhaust, cold air intake. I was looking to do some performance upgrades, ie: turbo, ecm upgrade. I have been looking at ko3 turbo's. What do i need to bewair of buying a turbo? Are they pretty much direct bolt on's? I was allso told to upgrade the intercooler? any advice is greatful

well easiest way to generate power is to chip the car. There are different brands to choose from apr giac there are others but i cannot think of them off the top of my head. . . If u plan on doing a chip upgrading the intercooler is a definte and also think about doing the injectors. if u plan on doing the full upgrade turbo intercooler chip and injectors i would make sure everything mates up for best result in power gain!

I have read somewhere on this.forum of a company that does remote ecm flashes, stage 1+. The intercooler upgrade is a waist of money till other mods are done? I allso noticed the car has a blow off valve. I was told to get rid of it and put the factory re-breather on it?

Motozaperformance offers a stage 1, stage 1+ and a hybrid k04 tune that can get you up to 290 hp. You don't have to send in your ecu, it comes with a USB memory stick with the program and a obd II to USB cable that you use to do it all on your computer.

And yes I'd get rid of the blow off valve and pick up a 710n DV. They're like $40.

well first off welcome to the board. SEcond probably get a better answer if you post a new thread in the b6 section. AS for motor oil. I wouldnt use anything but synthetic as our motors are prone to sludge buildup. Better to spend on oil then spend down the road with a sludged up motor. Talk thousands of $$$ there. MErry christmas!
