Default Vibration on acceleration

For nearly the last two weeks I have had some vibration issues. It only seems to occur after I have reach about 40mph and up. When I try to speed up thats when I notice the vibrating. As soon as I let off of the throttle, it goes away. I do not have an engine light on or notice anything else performance wise. Any tips or suggestions that I could try? My car is a 2004 A4 1.8T FWD.

Thanks!

I had a similar issue when I was over 60 that seemed to disappear upon braking. Ended up being my tie rod end. It could also be a wheel that is out of balance. I'd make sure a weight didnt come off one of your wheels. There's a lot of things it could be man. Could be a drive shaft or even a loose wheel, loose caliper, etc.

^^ Agreed. One thing you could do is put the front end up on jack stands and grab each wheel at the 3:00 and 9:00 position and try to wiggle the tires. There should not be any play. If there is, you probably have a loose tie rod end or control arm.

But it could be many things, as noted above.

Thanks for the help. My car only vibrates though when the gas peddle is pressed. It doesn't vibrate at all when I am just coasting or going the same constant speed, only when I speed up. Again, only seems to do it after I hit around 40-50mph.

Seen this on a couple of cars where it turned out to be a bad inner or outer CV joint too.

Thanks man, you may have nailed it. I think my passenger-side inner CV boot has a tear in it. I appreciate all the help and suggestions!
