If only on acceleration and not while coasting, I still think Joints. IIRC, that year was the same as yours, 57.1mm. Take a wheel of and see if the hubring fits snug on the hub

i have a 2004 a4 3.0 with 98,000 miles. i have a vibration at exactly 50 mph to about 55 60 mph only when accelerating. i changed spark plugs and coil packs, new fuel filter, new tires, new axels twice to make sure it wast them, had the tires balanced 3 times, had the bearings replaced, new left front wheel speed sensor. and im not sure whats wrong. its a vibration in the front end floor. the wheel does not shake you really dont even feel it in the wheel. the only code i have did not come up with a vag. it cam up with a snap scanner and the code 18259. powertrain data bus missing message from controller. can that be it? it any one could help id really appreciate it. thanks
