Want to get 2002 Audi 1.8t but need a car that gets good MPG
I really like this car but you have to put premium gas in it and dont know how good of gas mileage it gets. I have a 1998 ML320 it gets terrible MPG but I want to sell it and get another car. Is there any other good choices of cars with the likes of an audi for around 11,000 used like volvo, mercedes, audi. Thanks for the help!
I get about 30 mpg on the highway if I keep it down around 55-60. If I cruise at 65 I get about 25. In town if I short shift with the Tip I squeeze about 21-22 our of it. I don't run my Avant hard cos' it's my gas mileage car. My S4 is a guzzler. The TT gets good mileage too, but I can't keep my foot out of it! LOL!
I consistently get 34-36 mpg on the highway and about 22-25 around town, usually we take my car on trips because its the best on gas out of any of my friends cars
wow really im looking for about 22-25 on town and 27 or so on freeway but I guess thats what it gets for some of you guys. Is that really true? Im looking at the saab 93 or something like that.
with all my mods on my sig i still get 30 on the highway and 15-20 in town. with your foot in it is like under 10.
but these cars get great mpg IMO

My 2002 A4 2.8t is stock so I can't confirm whether or not chipping/exhaust/intake help regarding increased MPG.
I'm sure they do, but they also help in torque and HP which leads me to believe that such a car's driver would have tendency to want to put their upgrades to use and put the pedal to the metal.
The only thing I can confirm is my 30+ mpg (34mpg to be exact) achieved on the highway. Not sure if the sport package helps achieve this as that is what I have (i.e. slightly lowered etc
