Want to get 2002 Audi 1.8t but need a car that gets good MPG
my 1.8t quattro gets around 20 around town and up to 30 on the highway. with my daily commute (combination of both) i average around 23. if i stay out of downtown the average goes up to like 26.
I typically get 18-20mpg, but I have a lead foot......with that said, I just took the family down to OBX from PA (812 miles round trip) and I averaged 29.6mpg by doing the speed limit.......better yet, I made it there on 1 tank of gas.

Seriously, I believe all of the brands that theOP mentioned are premium sippers also. The 1.8T gets awesome mileage for being AWD. My 04 1.8T A4 can regularly get 30-32hwy without trying. For comparison, my FWD Passat 1.8t will get the same mileage. Both weigh roughly the same and both have Tip.
