Default 2005 Audi A4 2.0T help

Hello,

I own a 2005 Audi A4 2.0T. Recently, the vehicle was stalled while driving. I took it to the dealer for diagnosis . They found that the fuel was contaminated, and they recommended replacement of the low pressure fuel pump along with the fuel filter. They also said that the fuel tank needed to be flushed and cleaned. The moral of it all is that my vehicle is no longer under warranty even though it only has 40,000 miles driven, and their labor cost is nearly a $1000 to get this all fixed up. I was wondering if anyone here would know a place where I could purchase the low pressure fuel pump, and fuel filter for a reasonable price?, and/or if there are any guides on how I can do the replacement for my model car. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If I remember right, the low pressure pump is inside the fuel tank, not easy to get to. That's part of the reason it's going to cost so much.

well I replaced the low pressure fuel pump and fuel filter. and we found the fuel was contaminated so we flushed the fuel and refilled it with premium gas. nothing was wrong with the fuel filter or pump, the dealer is just adding **** to jack up the cost along with their high labor costs. Either way, It only cost me $30 for the fuel filter, $30 for the low pressure pump, and replacing it was easy with the help of a friend. Replaced my dead battery, and filled $40 of 91 gas. however, the check engine blinks, we found out it had something to do with the turbo, so im going to have the dealer look at that, but only for the diagnosis as they have the proper tools/computer to do so.
