2006 with 2.0T misfires
As the title states, I have an 06 with the 2.0 that is misfiring. I took it to an Audi dealership (bought the car used in May from a Nissan dealership.) Anyways, they looked at it, said it was misfiring because of carbon build up and to run clear premium (fuel without ethanol, for those who don't know) and a fuel additive and to run it a little hard to "burn the carbon off." Sounds a little weird to me. However, if it were to work, what "fuel additive" would I use? I am still learning about these engines so excuse my noobness haha.
Also, aftermarket headlights. My left headlight is flickering while under braking, or going over bigger bumps, and they can't seem to figure out why, and replacing the whole headlight is not covered under my warranty. They have changed the bulb in it, but it still does it, so right now I am looking at aftermarket headlights, as I don't want to spend $1300 for ONE headlight.
Thanks for the input you guys provide me.

Hi. This is my first post on AF.
First off, I'm not an Audi owner (yet, but working on it). I am, however, a pretty decent knuckle-dragger (mechanic) as a hobby.
Regarding the misfiring, there is an aftermarket product called "SeaFoam" that you can use (FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CLOSELY!!) to clear up the carbon issue.

As for your headlight, take an hour or two, and check the connections. Flickering is usually caused by a short. Follow the cable harness back as far as you can, and look for damage. The headlight assembly is, essentially, just a piece of very expensive plastic. Your issue, IMO, is likely being caused by a piece of wiring insulation that has become worn. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find that piece of worn wire.
(hint: if this message board has an electrical section (I've not checked yet), ask there if anyone has the same issue)
Now, one of the questions I was looking to find out is about the A4 with the 2.0L Turbo. Since you have one, perhaps you can humor me with an answer: Does the 2.0L require premium fuel, and what is your average mpg?
I've been a diesel guy for the last 5.5 years, and since premium is more pricey than diesel, so long as the cost/mile is lower, I'm okay with it, I think. But if I trade a 24 mpg Jeep Diesel for a 22 mpg premium fueled vehicle, I'd be spending more on fuel on a per mile basis.
