2006 2.0T Questions
Okay I just recently bought a 2006 A4 Quattro 2.0T, I've never modded anything but old school(Pre 1970s) naturally aspirated (Carbed) cars....
Would putting a cold air intake on harm my mass airflow sensor, or throw any kind of engine code.... I know there's not much power gain, if any at all.( I want that sweet sweet turbo sound.) From what I could find this seems to be the cheapest way to get that sound.
Also, Alarm does not sound when locking car, the lights Flash and the doors lock, there's just no sound.
P.S. I know nothing about tuning a car with a computer or have any way of doing so, also I know this question is been asked a lot so I'm sorry.

A kit from a reputable place (like ECS or FCP Euro) would not harm anything. Just understand due to the way turbos/intercoolers work, you are spending money for sound. There is zero performance gain. Save your money and get it tuned.
The alarm thing, who knows. It could have had something disconnected or removed. The beep is quiet and subtle. Does the lock nub on the top of the driver's door card blink intermittently when it's locked/armed? I had my locks start to act up (wouldn't arm) and progressively get worse. Turned out the control module which is part of the driver's door window motor went out. Expensive part, but it fixed all the weird lock/light gremlins I was having. Just a possibility if it continues to act up.
