I purchased a 2006 A4 about 4 months ago, and started having issues with what I believed to be the clutch.
The issue happens in every gear, but is worst in 2nd and 3rd. When I mat the pedal and the turbo starts to kick in, the RPM's start going up like crazy, and the car does not accelerate to match them.
For example: I am driving at 30 MPH in 2nd gear, and put the pedal down to the mat. The RPM's will start to increase along with my speed. Then as the turbo kicks in, the RPM's will suddenly shoot up to 5000 or 6000 but my speed does not change.
Haven't brought to a mechanic yet.... Any ideas?

100% clutch. Now is the time to get a better than stock one as well if you intend on chipping it. Maybe you already chipped it and thats what caused the failure. Many miles on the car?

Good luck with that. Hope it wont cost you a lot. Try on ebay to get a clutch for cheaper
Where is a good place to get a new clutch online? What brands are better than OEM parts? I haven't chipped it yet, the car is pretty much stock.
Right now there are 72,000 miles on it and it has the original clutch.
I was hoping it wouldn't be the clutch this early... Damn

72,000 is plenty of miles for a clutch expecially if it had any questionable launches or someone riding it at some point. Easy to burn one up. I would check wthe APR or AWE for clutches other than stock.
