Default 2007 A4 accelerator sensitivity

Not sure if this is an issue or not, but it seems that there is not a smooth transition to acceleration when slightly pressing on the pedal. While pressing a little more then the car picks up rather briskly, but not really strong. I understand these autos use a electronic signal from the pedal, so not sur if something is out of whack with the pedal electronics or maybe something just needs to be recalibrated. I have vag-com so any ideas would be appreciated.

What transmission do you have? The CVT (multitronic) is known for having a little jerk when you start moving.

Yes, it's a CVT. Its not really bad but just noticeable when beginning to accelerate. Seems like there should be a smooth transition.

when you push down harder the transmission downshifts a gear or two which will cause more thrust.

On mine, that I've had for just about a month, I noticed that same thing. I think its just shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. When I'm at a stoplight and got to accelerate lightly like you described, it starts out in 1st then shortly thereafter it feels like it stutters when it shifts to 2nd. I think this is normal, maybe i'm wrong....

A CVT doesn't have gears.... and he stated it happens during slight accelerating, Not mashing on the gas pedal

same thing occurs on mine, 2008 2.0t w/ CVT. just gotta take it easy on the accelerator between 0-20mph if you want a smooth start, but even then it can still be jumpy.
