APR Chip Question
Hello all
I just got a 2007 2.0T and was looking to modify the car a little bit. I have done some research on the APR chip and was wondering if anyone had one installed in their car/can give me some information on it. I am assuming it raises the boost on the turbo??? Also I would also imagine that it would void the warranty on the car. Any insight about it would be great.
Thanks,
Jay

Do it!
Yeah, it mostly raises the boost, but it adjusts other ECU settings also.
And yes, it can void your warranty if something happens that Audi determines to be caused by the chip. But you can get the stock and lockout programs that make the chip invisible.

APR is amazing. i have it on my 2005.5 Audi A4 2.0T
Went from 8 pounds of boost to 19 pounds of boost.
I also have the stock mode and lockout feature..
If you have something wrong with your car that's covered under warranty..before you goto the dealer set the car back to stock simply of using the Cruise Control. Put your password in, and it's 100% undectable.

Switching is real easy... takes less than a minute. You can't do the install yourself, though, you have to have an APR distributor plug into your car and they download the program from APR's servers. I paid $800 out the door for mine, with everything but anti-theft. But with the sale going on currently you can can get it for even less.
