they are cool as long as you dont screw up something badly. and the only chip audi dealers do is Stasis. its about $1400-1700

Well, there are dealers that do other chips as well, but Stasis is the only one that officially covers your warranty.

It has to do with the b7 fuel cut problem with the faulty fuel pump b7's have.
I would suggest you upgrade your fuel pump if you plan to do this.

And as far as the APR ecu, its not 100% undetectable, they can still find it.
fuel cut problem happened to someone else on another forum. He got the APR and got the fuel cut problem after having it for a bit. And they voided his warranty when he took it in cuz they found the chip.

UPDATE:

Refilled the tank with a blend of Cam 2 100 octane and another brand of 93.
No change to the missing at 3,000 rpm in 93 mode. Yesterday on the way to the APR installer I punched it and at 3000 it missed and the check engine light came on. Still runs fine in stock mode !
The APR installer said that the ecu was missing an upgrade and that was the problem( should they have discovered it during the install )

He provided me with the 3 codes and said to take it back to Audi to gewt the ecu update and the 3 codes looked at .
I also have the Forge DV on the car and am concerned about the warranty.
Codes :
000768 Multiple cylinder misfire - Upper limit exceeded
000770 Cylinder 2 misfire - Upper limit exceeded
001602 Sensor Reference Voltage A lower limit exceeded

Anyone have any thoughts on this ?

Taking the car to Paul Miller Audi - are they a mod friendly dealer ?

Thanks

Getting my B7 A4 chip by my dealers tuning shop (Champion Motorsports) with APR and it comes with a warranty. So I won't have to worry at all.
