B7 Headlight swap - need help w/voltage issue
So I had the stock halogens. I bought these to replace them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/06-08-AUDI-A4-B7-E-CODE-ANGEL-EYE-PROJECTOR-HEADLIGHTS-BLACK-W-CLEAR-CORNERS-/121316628115?hash=item1c3f08d693&vxp=mtr
I know, I know - if I could afford the real Bi-Xenons I would. In any case, I installed a Kensun 8000K kit for the low beams. What happens when the car is left coded for halogens is that the headlights rarely ever fire-up together. At least one or both will flicker and die...and I have to "restart" them many times for them to turn on and stay on. That tells me they're not getting enough power. The hi-beams do work (using halogen bulbs).
If I have the coded for Bi-Xenons, the lo-beams work perfectly, but of course no hi-beams as it's looking for the motors to do that (vs the separate housing in the ones I bought).
Does anyone know of a way to "fool" the car into give the lows enough juice while still retaining my hi-beam functionality? I rarely ever need the hi-beams, but when I don't have them it's infuriating. Any help would be appreciated - thanks all
