im looking to get a used b7 for my next car and confused about the trunk. i been looking at several different ones for sale and i noticed some have no trunk lip, one with a very small one and another where the lip goes from quater panel to quater panel. why is that? can somebody explain this for me? sorry for the noob question.

also if you plan to change out the suspesion, is there a need for the sline?

 

In regards to the trunk lip, they make different types. They aren't drilled into the trunk, they are put on with an adhesive.

 

you'll love the trunk. there are tie down latches in the floor and there are hinged hooks from the top. when i go to re-fill my propane bottle i secure the propane handle to the hinged hook and it works like a charm. plus with the b7 you get a full size spare. mine has the chrome lip just going to the top of the bumper and from one side of the lid to the other.
