B7 wont start in Park .. only in Neutral
Hi guys , I have this huge problem . Let me tell you how this happened . I bottomed out the front on a speed bump and it looks like a hit the transmission oil pan pretty good . It's not ripped, there's no leak just few scratches but since then the dashboard wont register the park position . I have to put the car in neutral to start it . The car drives fine as before no problems at all with the tranny it's just it wont start in neutral . It's also a little stiffer than before to move the shifter out and back to park .
by the way I'm in Macedonia
I took it to the official Audi Dealership , and after 4 days of examining the car doing all kinds of diagnostic on it ( thats what they told me) , they came with a conclusion that the Mechatronic transmission control unit is damaged. Cost to replace 3000 Euros . The thing is , I think they are totally clueless and out of their mind .
Has anyone experienced something like this ??
I read in some forums that this kind of problem can be related to the cable adjustment of the neutral/park switch
