Default Bad Gas Mileage/Questionable performance

I picked up my '07 B7 2.0T 6AT in September. New to me with 16.5k on the clock, bone stock I filled up last week and zero'd out the odo pulling out of the station. Now 90% of my daily commuting and etc, is backroads and city-like driving. I guess I live in one of those areas that just accessible without using the highway much. So 90% of my tank was used for that and maybe 10% for highway like driving. Soo on the way home tonight the gas light comes on already and I only put on 239 miles since the fill up. Does that seem normal for a tank full of 93, running 90% city/backroads 10 % highway?

Im only asking because i noticed another thing. The car lacks ANY ***** under 2k rpms. At idle it seems to vibrate moderately and when ever im driving and the tranny puts me into 5th or 6th and its starts hovering around 1500rpm or thereabouts, the car vibrates like it does at idle and its seems like its not making alot of power down there. If i nudge the gas and it drops into 4th and it gets about 2000 again, all seems well again. But when im running below 2000 rpms, the engine sounds and feels like its lugging a bit.

So, is that mileage per tank normal and is that normal for the car so have no boost/power under 2k? OR are the two related and there is something afoot? Or does the engine sound normal , but the gas mileage does not? etc etc etc

I have also been getting inconsistent boost in the 1st 3 gears. Sometimes I will drive it and it will pop pretty quickly and other times, it seems to completely drag and require more throttle to do anything. I wanted to believe that the cold weather was the culprit but the last month or so it has crept into 50s-70s I haven't noticed much improvement. As a matter of fact, yesterday it hit 80, the warmest it's been since I got the car, and the performance was not very good at all. I drove it later in the evening and it was fine.

I took it to the Audi dealer and they drove it a few different times and said it was fine...perhaps part of it is me being paranoid but I also know that I'm not making it up. It's only got 22K miles and I got it from car sense so I don't feel like I should have any major problems. I am waiting for my current tank (which reads about 145 miles with a 3rd tank left or so) then im gonna try some Chevron Techtron fuel injector cleaner in there.....any other suggestions?

Gauranteed to be your PCV or Diverter Valve. Check my stickey up top and replace both. Not expensive and worth it.

I don't know what size tank you have or if they're all the same, but my 08 B7 gets almost 500 (usually over 400 though) out of one tank at half city half highway. This is also what is consistently displayed in the dash display also. I also have a very aggressive driving style on the freeway so its not because I do more relaxed cruising on highways than you. Your fuel mileage is almost sad and your dealer needs re-certified.

As for the power.....I may be wrong but this is off of dyno charts. As much as I love our cars, they're pretty weak without boost at low rpms. Like 100 hp kind of weak. The dyno charts show 70 up to 100 hp from idle up through 2500-2700 rpm, at which point the boost kicks in from the turbo, and increases power significantly. If you shift into sport mode, I have noticed this change drastically.

I noticed the same as you at the low rpms (bought mine 8 days ago) but after looking at APR upgrade dyno charts, noticed the apparently goofy low end power plot. Check out the "stock" line at the bottom of this page for reference:

and look how much power you're pushing below 3000 rpm....kinda sad almost
