I just had my 35K service done on my 2006 A4, and they did an ECM reflash/software update-Has anyone else had this done? Does anyone know what changes were made to the software?-It does seem like the car shifts more smoothly now, and maybe even is a little faster, but that could just be my imagination..

All they said at the dealership, was that it's just a factory update, and I didn't think to ask specifics at the time...

Any details about this reflash would be appreciated...

 

I had it done about a month ago and was thinking the same thing. I do not know the details of the upgrade though.... very curious

 

I was just in to get my windshield replaced, and they said something about a fuel pressure sensor update. I'm not sure if that was a reflash or if they changed a physical sensor.

 

Same here, I asked for details about the reflash, but the dealership had no clue what was involved. It could just be me, but I think my mileage dropped. I was averaging 35mpg on long trips, not i'm hovering around 30mpg. I guess I'll find out for sure ina couple weeks when I'll put 600miles on it.

 

I had gotten the same 35k ECU reflash done. One of the problems that I was having when I would do wide open throttle my CEL would come on. The code that was thrown was a cylinder misfiring code. The dealer told me this reflash would correct the problem...Other then that I am like the rest...they didnt tell me very much!
