do i have the S-line package??
ok so i know this is a dumb question and you guys wont know exactly but who knows if i actually have the s-line package?
please just look at the pics in my profile/garage and let me know what you think.
im asking cuz someone awhile ago said that i didnt have the package, just the grill badge. i bought it used from an audi dealer and i havent changed anything. i have the 17" wheels and the steering wheel is the 3 spoke with audio controls. also, it has dual exhaust with the color matched rear valance thing.
does anyone know of a website or anything were i can check the VIN and see the original info/options?
thanks for any input

Nope you don't. Those rims are the standard ones. The real S Line package has 18" rims and some interior trim pieces like the door sill that I don't see in your other pic. Post a pic of your steering wheel though, that's odd you'd have a 3 spoke. All 2008 A4s came with the S Line badge on the front grill and a modified front bumer and rear integrated spoiler. I've got the same basic setup as you with my 08 but with the Special Edition which has upgraded 17" rims. I just replaced all 4 of my brake pads this weekend. Threw on Akebono Euro's for both front and rear. Can barely see any dust and they're quiet as hell so far. Amazon has the cheapest prices by far.
damn thats sad. why did audi put the badge on it if it wasnt the whole package?
and i just realized that i have the 4 spoke steering wheel, my bad
im glad you mentioned those brake pads. i found a couple websites with that brand and im tryin to find the lowest price. have you (or anyone else) experimented with mixing different brand/types of pads? i was thinkin maybe i could do some EBC greenstuff pads up front and some akebono pads in the rear. i found a website that has the EBC and akebono front pads for almost the same price but the rears are usually about a $15 difference.

My folks just purchased a 2008 A4 Quattro Cabriolet and they want the RS4 mesh grill, with the matte aluminum surround to match the window trim. When I look at the ECSTuning website, the grill only fits "S-Line bumpers". They car does not have the "S-Line" package, but I read somewhere that all 2008's had the S-Line bumpers.................can anyone advise if the RS4 Grill will fit their car?
Thanks in advance.
Because the S-Line looks are what everyone wants. The S-line package only adds like steering wheel, side door sills with s-line written on them, different pedals, and a sport suspension. Other than the steering wheel and side sills, just put some h&r springs (or similar) on the audi and you have a s-line pretty much.
