First tranny fluid change at 265k miles??
Hi, new to the forum.
I bought a 2005 A4 3.2 Quattro 3 months ago with 260k miles. 1 owner and a stack of dealer service records but nothing about changing the transmission fluid.
So my question is, with that many miles, is it better to leave it alone or would it be better to change the fluid?
Currently it shifts smooth and I haven't noticed anything unusual other than a slight delay from a stop when it's cold....which sounds like that's a common occurrence on the tiptronic.

At that mileage, I wouldn't touch it. Audi claims it shouldn't ever be serviced (it's not on any interval).
I just had mine changed at 88k, but the service guy was very clear that they'd look at the fluid first and give me a recommendation based on what it looked like. He said if it was too far gone, they wouldn't change it because it could lead to problems.
