My car started doing this several months ago. When ever I put gas in it, it's very hard to start. I have to floor the gas pedal to start it, and it only happens when I put gas in it. Other times it will start with no problem. Anyone else have this problem? The coil packs have been replaced and still doing the same thing. The check engine is on and dealer said it's the air control flapper (sits under the intake manifold). I don't think the flapper is causing it since it only happens with I put gas in the car....thanks in advance

 

Ask them if the Charcoal canister could cause this. Mine failed and it was near impossible to pump in gas. Gas handle would do the click like it was full. Maybe they are related somehow? Just a guess.

 

Thanks Kris, I did more research on this, it seems to be pointing to N80 valve(evap valve). It's a $15 part from the dealer, I will try replacing that this week.

 

it's not the intake runner flap (motor). mine failed and if it wasn't for the cel i never would have known. minor problem.

 

I was able to replace the N80 purge valve, paid $18 from the dealer. The old one was a pain to take out. The new one took less than 8 minute to install with the new hose clamps. Went to the gas station to fill up and car started right up after
