Mechanical advice plz! Ujoint, center carrier bearing?
So im the proud new owner of my 07 Ibis White a4 quattro,3.2 V6,6Speed S-line Titanium Pckg.Iv ran into a issue that ive yet to get a solid diagnosis. So since its a manual trans, being ive driven 6speeds for years although i was a little rusty and wasnt used to the Audi feel,im confident my shifting is as good as it should be.So ive noticed Shifting from 1st-2nd,and ocassionally into 3rd if i don't stay completely aware an gentle engaging/disengaging the clutch I feel a quick CLUNK as i engage the next gear.ive become accustomed to it so i can usually time my rpms and clutch to where i dont feel it, but even with that soemtimes it never fails to remind me somethings wrong.Forget any power shift or high rpm shifts cuz i dont want to further aggervate the problem.I also notice 3rd to 2nd,or 2nd to 1st even slightly to much load/rpm (3500+ish)downshifting and i feel a very subtle pulsation in clutch, minimal. And only on the last few inchs of the grab (top).Theres no slipping,no grinding,no clutch burning or anyother smells. Do these symptoms point towards my center shaft carrier bearing possibly worn and banging around under load.Or maybe a U joint is bad and giving me that play when i dont baby the clutch?I want to have some sort of insight heading into the shop if possible..Im praying it is not something more major like my gearbox or flywheel. Thanks in advance.
