Default MMI mute when cold

MMI in my audi is mute when it's cold in the morning. It happened couple of times already. When starting car in the morning there is no sound. All the buttons on the MMI seems to be working. Songs on CD seems to be playing( clock is counting songs lenght) I can switch radio stations/Sirius etc...the only thing is that there is no sound. When I start the car few hours latter in the afternoon everything is back to normal.
Any ideas what's wrong ?? Is it the temperature affecting it...or maybe moisture??? Help!!!

must be a problem with the amp, i wonder if there is a safety feature to prevent damage from extreme temps. what is the temp outside when it happens? does the sound come on after driving/warming up?
