I'm looking at buying a 2007 Audi A4 Premium, Manual Quattro with 37914 miles featuring options such as Cold Weather Package, and Sport Suspension. $20,502 .
But I have a few concerns about common complaints,
The first being complaints of high oil consumption, 1 quart every 1000 miles.
The second being about the headlights flickering.

If anyone has an opinion on whether this is a good deal or advice about the complaints for the car I would greatly appreciate it.

The price seems a bit high. Not out of the ballpark--just a bit high. I'm going to assume since it's a 2007 and the factory warranty is probably out, you can't get it CPO'd for that price. I paid about $19k for my 2006 with about the same mileage and a few more options (Bose, Homelink, XM, etc) a little over 2 years ago.

Oil consumption--some cars have it, some don't. I've never had to top mine off between changes (5000-6000 miles). Others have to do it every 1000 miles or so. It just depends on the car.

The headlight flickering seems to be a problem related to the bi-xenon option. My car has the halogens, so I've not seen this (although, I did have to replace one of the bulbs which was a bit of a pain).

 

Agree with King. Price seems a little high. My car never used oil until recently and now I go through a quart every 2k. I think it is tied to a bad PCV which I am going to change out when I do my timing belt. No headlight issues (knocking on wood) for me. Had my 2008 since March of last year with zero issues.
