Default New member with a few questions...

Hello,

I own an '06 Audi A4 avant S-line (140BHP) and love the car, however, one or two things have started to go wrong. My stereo (a standard concert thing) has real problems playing CDs when the weather gets hot. Anyone know if this is a common fault and whether I would need to replace the head unit? Also, my rear window wiper has given up the ghost. I have heard a rumour this is common too but again what's my best course of action?

Thanks in advance of your comments,

Maybe we don't know the answers? I read most threads. Sounds like you need a new head unit. I don't have an Avant so I could not tell you on the wiper.

Same here. My Symphony II doesn't run hot and I don't ever play CDs in it. All I listen to is my iPod.

A simple "bump" after a few days of getting no response is good netiquette for forums.

i had to replace my symphony head unit twice because it wouldn't eject some CDs. now it has some troubles reading a burned CD. next time i won't settle for a cheap stereo. fortunately the newer audis offer bang & olufsen stereos.

the rear window wiper motor for my golf is original and still going strong. maybe it's not the motor. maybe it's a fuse?
