Default No fuel pressure!

Hello,

2005.5 Audi A4 Quattro. Car lacks power. It's only running on the fuel pump in the tank which is only 6 bars. The car had been sitting for exactly one year. Previous owner had the same problem and had the camshaft replaced along with the follower and the high pressure fuel pump. The car had the same issue after. Upon buying the car, my mechanic said it was the high pressure pump which he replaced with a pump that he knew for sure was good. No change. He ran 2 tests with Ross-tech and both times they say it's not the ecm.

I'm stumped.

Since you know the pump is good (and I am guessing already changed out the fuel filter) I would inspect the fuel lines from the tank to the engine for any flow restrictions (******, bends, dents, etc...). Barring anything there it could be a blockage in the lines. Not really sure how to address that maybe blow them out some how or have it pressure tested (guesses). Last item would be faulty (clogged) injectors.

If you aren't sure it is a fuel issue you might check for vacuum leaks. These cars are very sensitive to leaks. I had a hose come of my air box and I was convinced my turbo had gone out. Car would drive, but was very slow.

There is a ton of measuring blocks within VCDS, I would be interested in rail pressure first.
