so i notice on other cars..if u put the ignition all the way(without turning on the engine) u get power ont he car. u can operate all the electric stuff such as windows sun roof radio! but on other cars i know u can lower the key and u just get power on the radio but cant use the windows etc.

i can't seem to find that setting on my a4 2005.5 2.0t 6speed
so i can listen to the radio while i wait in my car..and not drain the battery as fast lol

You are looking for the ACC (accesory) key position. I think it is the first click of the key, but will have to check when I leave work.

 

Okay, I was wrong. To play the radio you turn the car on and then back off, but leave the key in the ignition. The radio will stay on, but the steering wheel controls will not work. Not sure about the windows.

 

Thanks, i will try this and get back to you lol. doing this doesn't sound the beeping alarm when you don't have the seat belts on, right? because when i was trying to find it i couldnt and only way i was able to play radio was putting the key and turning it all the way(without turning on the engine) but the "belt not buckled" alarm goes off constantly and i'm not driving the car...just in there chilling so why should i have to put the damn seat belt lol xD

turns out you don't even need the key :b just turn the damn radio on and it works
