Default Radio ??

turning in an 06 A4 lease with Bose system in it this weekend - buying a CPO 07 A4 - but in has standard radio . 1st question is there a big difference in sound.
2. if there is - is there any way to make the factory radio sound better??

Thanks

new speakers, but its pretty costly, and you shouldn;t notice a huge difference in speaker quality

lotsa people don't kno but bose speakers aren't as great as people say they are, they are the best brand of speaker for speech recreation....as in talk radio, movies, and other medias where speech is heard.

but music? its not their forte and thats primarily what people listen to in the car, for example ever walk into a car stereo shop and see bose speakers advertised?....its reletivily rare,

umm speakers like alpine (type s and up) jl audio, and infinity are all pretty solid imo jl's have the richest sound while infinity tend to be very pitchy with trebles

if you want you can add a subwoofer but stay withen 8 to 10 inches anything higher tends to be very sloppy

upgrade in speakers.....expect like 500
upgrade in sub....expect 500 for amp n sub and like 250 for install
upgrade in everything but stock radio....solid 1600

Considering the Bose system is of relatively poor sound to begin with, you might find the best answer is to simply install a new aftermarket system.

Depends on your definition of "better".
