Default Rear Brakes?

I have 06' 2.0T, dealer says I need new rear pads and rotors, $540.

I'm good with tools and do alot of my own work, I've changed LOTS of brakes on other cars. Can I do it on my A4? Is there anything to be aware of or overly tricky about it?

Any good suggestions where/what aftermarket or audi rotors on the cheap? Thanks in for any advice or direction you can give.

Thanks,
Jason

Nothing special about the brakes. I use these guys, just pull up Audi instead of BMW

Compressing the rear calipers in can be a bit trickey. You have to turn the piston i beleive clockwise as well as apply as pushing them in at the same time. I bought a tool that goes on my rachet that locks in some grooves to turn them but i pushed with brute force at the same time. Took me about 2 hours to figure out the first side and then about 30 minutes on the second side once I figured it out.

yea there is a tool that compresses the rear calipers but its just for volkswagen/audi and apparently it makes the hardest part about doing brakes very easy
