Greetings,
i have a 2006 a4 convertable and the seal for the canvas top and rear window have seperated. im wondering if anyone has had this problem and if there is a good diy fix for this. any advice would be appreciated

 

I have an 06 A4 as well and am having the same issue. Water is getting in and they want $1900.00 for a brand new top. I was hoping you found a solution or easy repair that you can share with me.

Looks like it is separating where it appears to be glued. In my opinion I think mine has done this due to cleaning the outside surface. Because you put downward pressure when doing this it slowly works its way apart. I have gotten into the habit of putting the top up/down half way and cleaning it when it is vertical to avoid this. Especially now that it is separating so much and any pressure seems to cause more separation.

Going to have a few top shops in the area give me some suggestions. Hoping it can be re-glued. Hate to have a new top installed, as mine is perfect other than this problem.
