Got the idea and tips/instructions from "that other Audi forum" and found a good deal on the steering wheel. I already had the 3-spoke wheel, so I was able to just reuse my airbag. Took a little over an hour for the swap (including pulling out my VAGCOM cable to enable the shifters) and then about 20 minutes to pull the wheel off again because I didn't put it on quite straight and it bothered the heck out of me. Fairly typical for me--I'm like the born loser when it comes to working on my car.



Pardon my dirty floor mat. I believe it's a wheel out of a B8 (I don't think the B7's had the chrome trimmed switches). It looks amazing and I love having the paddle shifters now.

 

Looks nice. Although I don't use my paddle shifters often I do like having them!
