Hi all. this is my first time to this site and i was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just got an 06 a4q s line and there is a funky smell coming from the vents when i turn the fan on without the ac. i replaced the cabin filter and it must have never been replaced. the old filter was black and weighed 5 times more that the brand new one that i got from the dealer. I still notice the smell. so does anyone have any clue as to what i should do next. i was gonna spray some fabreez into the box where the filter is but i didnt want to ruin anything.

 

The black one was prolly a carbon filter...?

What kind of smell are you getting?

 

mouse or some dead animal could be in ur air ducts its not that unusual

 

it kind of smells like cat urine but since i changed the filter and keep running the fan, i think it has gone away. thank you for your help
