Question Reverse Mirrors????

I read through my manual and ithad a section about mirrors that tilt down when you reverse for a better view, u have to have the mirror switch to the passenger mirror position. but thats it. my car is a 6sp Manual is this the reason why mine does not seem to work??? ive tried to follow the steps and so far no bannana, i do have the power heated, and dimming mirrors and almost every option exept the Nav and BT is this a standard option

I have a 6 speed also reverse mirror works like a champ. Just put it to the passenger side selection on the switch and put it in reverse.

I do have the auto dimming mirrors and power seats, that might be included in that package.

I think from 2007 on that option is only available in the 3.2.

I could be wrong, but I think you need memory seats/mirrors for this option to work.

I have a 2006 2.0t quattro manual, with premium package, and my car does not have the reverse mirror. My 2000 Jetta GLX had the reverse mirror, and it was quite handy. The style of rim included by VW was very easy to scrape on a curb.

Yes, Geno is right, you have to have the memory seats and mirrors for the reverse mirror to work. I found out the hard way!!! I still love my '07 A4Q though...it's a great car for the snow packed roads of the colorado rockies. It drive it up to the mountains a lot for skiing and it just plows through the snow like it were on tracks!
