S4 RNS-E Navigation No Power after jump
I have a 2005.5 Audi S4 and recently the battery died so i had to jump the car. Since the car was jumped the rns-e navigation no longer turns on, no power whatsoever. Other than the standard fuse box, are their any other breakers or fuses i should know about? Anybody have any idea what this could be the cause of this. I really want to avoid but a new GPS/Radio.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
After checking fuses, I would disconnect car battery for 10 mins them reconnect and see if RNS-E works, if not, pull RNS-E out and disconnect the wiring, leave it 10 mins and then reconnect it, and try powering it up again.
You may need your security code for it.
Also run a diagnostic scan and see what it says.

So far this is what I have done to trouble shoot, with no luck.
Disconnected battery for 10 minutes
Disconnected RNS-E for ten minutes
Changed Nav fuse (drivers side under dash)
Changed fuse in back of the RNS-E unit
I have not run a diagnostic scan as I do not have the tool, and I am avoiding the shop until I have to go.
Any other ideas? Thanks again for you help.

Strange... I hate to state the obvious but I had this once before, someone had a RNS-E and 'never' turned it off, never knew how too, therefore when it was turned off by accident buy his little boy playing in the car, he panicked and ask me to help him as it was dead, simply pushed on button and Valla, I'm sure your aware though...
Are you sure you checked/tested/changed appropriate fuses? I'd also check ALL other fuses in case there is a different fuse supplying power, also get a digital multimeter and test for power at back of unit, with ignition on.
Can't think of anything else, get a scan and see what it says, can't see what/why the jump start has to do with the RNS-E going dead.
