Smelling gasoline
I have a 2006 Audi A4 2.0T. The last two days I've been smelling a light smell of gasoline in the car. This comes and goes when i am driving with the windows up and the air-conditioning off. As i've said, its not constant or strong at all but it is there occasionally. The only thing i can think of is that i was pulling into a parking lot the other day with a strangely shaped and high curb that i think bumped the bottom of the car somewhere in the front lightly. Any ideas or worries?

I believe the gas tank is under the back seats. I haven't actually looked on the A4 but that is typically where its located.
Before my A4 I had a Saab 93, and it was possible to lift out the back seats and get to the top of the tank. There was a screw on access port and below it was the fuel pump. If that worked its way loose it could let vapors into the car. I assume the A4 has something similar.
Either way you should have someone check your fuel system. Good luck.

the big question is if your smelling gasoline has your level of gas gone up or stayed the same if its been dropping faster then usual then maybe ur problem is in your fuel lines, but short of that maybe u have an exhaust leak
