Default Suspension Information

OK so there is a guy selling Sachs performance set (shocks + spring) for A4 B6/B7 near me and saying they are brand new. He has dropped hte price to $500CAD

here a link to the only info i can find on them:

http://www.sachs-performance.com.sg/...dc1b6862d.html

they are supposed to lower the car 1.5" and come with shocks so i thought this is a decent price. so anyone know anything about them, is this worth it?

Default Yeah, let's talk suspensions

Well since you brought the subject up, I would sure like to hear some opinions on the Koni FSD/Eibach kit. At $902 for shocks and springs they seem like a terrific bargain IF they hold up to the hype.

Here's some of what Koni claims:

The KONI FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) shock combines excellent road holding and handing characteristics with no-compromise comfort levels. It's a two-in-one solution from KONI that doesn't require the installation of sophisticated electronics, cables or sensors. Firmness for sporty driving on even road surfaces. Smoothness for a comfortable ride on uneven road surfaces.

I have the Eibach springs... and I'd like to get the Konis at some time. Going from the sport springs to the Eibach springs lowered the car to a great height, but it did roughen the ride a little on the sport shocks, but from what I've heard the FSDs will smooth it back out. Plus, they have a lifetime warranty.

OK, there is life on this list! I was starting to think I was the only one here...

Paul, how much did your springs lower your car? The Koni FSD/Eibach package is only suppossed to lower it 30mm which doesn't seem too extreme. I'm not out to go way low, I just want to improve high speed handling without compromising ride quality. My wife and I bought this car primarily as a traveling machine (although I also do my short commute with it), so comfort is important.
