Thinking about buying a 07 A4 2.0T

Anything I should particularly worry about or listen/watch for in this model/engine?

Car has 70K miles on it currently.

Make sure you read the sticky and that will answer about all you need to know. I biggest issue is the cam follower, but that is a some what inexpensive fix and is also now covered under extended warrenty. If the car has been well cared for it has many miles still left in it.

We are talking about the sticky called: Important Facts to Know - Sticky?

and not: GENERAL A4 Information (Link seems to be broken)

If so thank you! Read through it briefly before I posted this, will read again just to catch everything.

EDIT:

Also how many miles are people doing timing belts on these cars? I had mine done at 105K miles on my 01 Audi A6 2.7T.

If it is a private sale ask about the oil consumption. Anywhere around 1500 miles a quart is OK.

Planning on doing my belt change just after I roll over 100K miles. Manual says 115K, but I don't want to wait that long although I am sure they picked that mileage with some safety cushion built in.

Forgot about the oil compsumption as mine uses less than a quart every 7500 miles. Others do experience more usage than I do.

Excellent thanks rhodes991 and jagtoes! Previous owner did note there was a oil leak. Is this something I should be worried about on these 2.0T engines? Or is this common?

He's taken the car into the Dealership to have it taken look at after this weekend.

A few things he has done in the last 15K miles:

Water Pump
Replaced all four ignition coils
Replaced crankcase pressure regulating Valve
Replaced Purge Valve
55K Mile Maintenance Service

Get off the pot and join the club! you probably will be very happy! My opinion of Audi owners is that they do the right thing with their cars...looks like this guy did it too....

Oil leaks souldn't be a huge concern if it is a minor leak. From reading up on the Audi the valve cover is the most likely place for a leak and not to bad to replace. Also, a bad PCV can cause oil to leak.
