Tool to remove turbo diverter valve
#2
Guess I will reply to my own thread now that the job is completed. Hope this helps someone else. Read somewhere else that it is easier to crawl under the car feet first. While it seems silly it is true. You get a much better angle at the bolts. I went out and bought several 5mm allen tools in both long, short, key, 1/4 and 3/8 drive, because I wasn't sure what I would need or work best. My recommendations on tools after just having done this is as follows- Do not use 3/8, use 1/4 drive. It is a tight fit under there, and 3/8 doesn't fit well. Get a long 1/4 drive 5mm allen ball end. The ball end and long allen is important, maybe a must. I would also recommend, although I didn't have them, would be a swivel head 1/4 drive ratchet and a 1/4 drive short swivel extension. Hope this helps someone perform the job more quickly.
