Default Tranny feels like its slipping

2007 Audi A4 S-line Titanium PKG 85,000 miles automatic with paddle shifters.

Recently when I am driving on the freeway, I'm giong about 65 mph and I want to pass someone, I floor it and It feels like the transmission is just not grabbing. It has a skipping feel. Happens at any speed when I give it gas too.. No check engine light.
If anyone knows or has heard of a similar thing please help.
I will be taking it to the dealer tomorrow.
Maybe I can save some money if someone can help.
Thanks

That's actually one of the symptoms of an impending cam follower failure. When the engine is acting like its starved of fuel or almost cutting out at high speeds and high gears. It might be something else, but many who have had the follower go report a similar problem.

Thanks for the reply. The dealer contacted me today, It ended up being a misfire in Cylinders 1 and 2. Bad coils... All covered under warranty. Also my turbo oil feed line was leaking oil along with the Valve cover gasket. That will also be covered. They also found that my front A-arm bushings were bad so that was also replaced along with a alingment and tire rotation... Still haven't got my car back but I will follow up on how the car feels after all of the repairs.

Yep the coils are part of a service action. So many were failing, that Audi was extending the warrenty and replacing them as they failed. I was lucky, I said something to my dealer, and all 4 were replaced during an oil change. No need to wait for a failure.
